Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in kids’ dental care?

Kids’ dental care includes check-ups, cleans, fluoride treatments, fillings, fissure sealants, and general preventive care. The focus is on keeping children’s teeth healthy and building good oral hygiene habits early. Our team takes a gentle, friendly approach to make visits positive.

When should my child first see a dentist?

We recommend children visit the dentist by the time their first tooth appears or around their first birthday. Early visits help us monitor development and ensure any issues are picked up early.

Is kids’ dental covered by Medicare?

Eligible children may access the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS), which can cover up to a set limit over two years for essential dental treatments. Our team can check your child’s eligibility and explain what is included before treatment begins.

How often should children visit the dentist?

Most children should see the dentist every six months for a check-up and clean. Regular visits help prevent decay and allow us to monitor how their teeth and jaws are developing.

What if my child is anxious about the dentist?

This is very common, and we take a calm, patient approach to help children feel comfortable. We explain everything in a simple way and go at a pace that suits your child.

Do you offer treatment for dental emergencies in children?

Yes, we treat urgent issues such as toothaches, knocked-out teeth, broken teeth, and swelling. If your child has a dental emergency, contact us as soon as possible so we can help quickly.

What are the most common dental problems in kids?

The most common issues are tooth decay, sensitivity, and minor injuries from sports or play. Regular check-ups and good home care help reduce the risk of these problems.

Can diet affect my child’s teeth?

Yes, frequent sugary snacks and drinks can increase the risk of decay. A balanced diet and good brushing habits are key to keeping children’s teeth strong and healthy.
