Dentures come in two common versions and at Coast Family Dental we offer both full (or complete) dentures and partial dentures. These can be made from acrylic and chrome, as well as aesthetic metal-free versions.

Full Dentures

Also known as “complete dentures”, full dentures are typically made from a combination of acrylic and chrome, featuring a base coloured to match your natural gums and mounted with a full set of porcelain or composite teeth. As the name suggests, full dentures include both an upper and lower set of false teeth, replacing the teeth in your entire mouth.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures can be fabricated with a metal framework or plastic base designed to support the proper amount of teeth needing to be replaced. Partial dentures are typically held in the mouth using carefully placed rests and clasps that are set around any remaining natural teeth in your mouth. As the name suggests, partial dentures are used in situations where only some of your teeth need replacing.
